A bathroom renovation needs two plumbing visits, and both stop every other trade. The rough-in happens once the room is stripped back, setting water lines, wastes and the floor waste where the fixtures will land. Nothing is waterproofed or tiled until it is signed off.
Fit-off comes at the other end, after tiling, when the tapware, toilet, vanity and shower set go on. If the plumber cannot get there that day, you have a finished, tiled, empty room and a trade queue behind it.
Moving fixtures catches people out. Shifting a vanity or shower along the wall is mostly water lines. Moving the waste, especially a toilet, needs continuous fall, which can mean cutting concrete or reworking the drain line under a timber floor.

It depends on whether you are moving the water or the waste. Water lines are easy to run. The waste needs continuous fall to the sewer, so relocating a toilet on a slab can mean cutting concrete, while a timber floor means working underneath.
We do the plumbing and work closely with your waterproofer and tiler. If you do not have them lined up, we can point you toward trades we have worked with. What matters is the handover, because the membrane has to seal around our penetrations correctly.
